Everyone loves a good brownie! But is there such a thing as guilt-free brownies? You can make some at home if you have some almond flour lying around.
INGREDIENTS
- Blanched almond flour (1 cup and a half)
- Baking powder (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (half a teaspoon)
- Softened butter (5 tablespoons)
- Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
- Sugar or stevia extract (1 cup and a half)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (a third of a cup)
- Eggs (3 large pieces)
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Start by preheating the oven to 400°F and mixing your almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Set the bowl aside.
- Take a separate bowl and sift your cocoa powder. Whisk together your softened butter, sweetener, vanilla extract, eggs, and cocoa powder until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Add your dry ingredients and gently fold them together until fully mixed and ensure there are no lumps. If you want to use chocolate chips, fold them through at the end.
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake your brownies for over 33-40 minutes or until the edges are crisp and the top is set. Try using a toothpick as a skewer in the center to check if it comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting them.
