Meet Phyllis, a compassionate and dedicated Manager celebrating her 10th anniversary here at CoreLife.
Phyllis found her inspiration to join CoreLife through her husband’s journey. He embarked on a weight loss adventure at CoreLife, where he met Sean. “He came home and told me how down to earth Sean was and he felt so comfortable talking with him and he was motivated to get started.” It was clear that CoreLife was the right choice. His dedication and success motivated her to become a part of the CoreLife family.
Working at CoreLife has taught her invaluable lessons in compassion. She understands the struggles people face on their weight loss journeys, realizing that it’s not just about what you eat but also about managing stress and pain. Celebrating even the smallest milestones with patients can make a significant difference in their journey. Being a part of these transformations is a source of great joy for her.
Outside of her work at CoreLife, Phyllis’s true passion lies in being a Grandmom. She cherishes spending time with her grandchildren and creating precious memories with them. Her creative spirit also shines through her love for sewing and crafting, with numerous projects always in the works.
As a Manager at CoreLife, Phyllis takes her responsibilities seriously. “I have always treated my office like I own it, I worry about its appearance and making sure everything works.” While that work ethic hasn’t changed, her role has evolved over time, she now manages more patients and staff.
Her advice to newcomers is simple: “I have always said, just treat this office as your home, take care of it. Always keep it presentable and treat everyone like you would want to be treated. Treat your team like a team, there is no job too small or large for anyone to do.”
Before joining CoreLife, Phyllis worked in a family-owned florist business. Together with her sister-in-law, they transformed it from a small shop with no customers into a well-known florist in Baltimore County. She managed the business while pitching in wherever needed, relishing the experience of creating and nurturing something beautiful. A previous role in the medical field at a Pediatrician’s Office also enriched her understanding of healthcare.
Phyllis brings a wealth of experience, empathy, and dedication to our CoreLife family. Her journey in the past 10 years is a testament to her commitment to helping others achieve their wellness goals.
Thank you and congratulations, Phyllis, for being an invaluable part of our team and for inspiring us all to be compassionate and caring in everything we do.
